Introducing Dateline:CUNY.com, a website that showcases the best of undergraduate journalism at the City University of New York.
Dateline:CUNY highlights stories from each school’s student news organization and covers New York City issues and topics that impact college students. The site highlighted our series on Harlem gentrification and stories about Michelle Obama as our commencement speaker and getting the most from college advisors that originally ran on The Campus online.
The site is made possible through a collaboration of student news outlets across CUNY (including us!), the University Student Senate, and the journalism program directors and faculty who make up the CUNY Journalism Council.
The aim is to distribute the work of CUNY undergraduate journalists more broadly, and make CUNY journalists more aware of each other and the stories they are following.
Content selected for Dateline:CUNY is determined solely on the basis of quality and newsworthiness by seasoned journalist Kathleen Lucadamo. Ms. Lucadamo, a former reporter for the New York Daily News, teaches at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and has taught at Brooklyn College. She currently freelances for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other media outlets.
